Outreach

Are you looking to make a difference? Do you have an hour to spare? There are opportunities to serve throughout our community.  We strongly believe that God wants to use your personal gifts and talents to expand God’s kingdom. Below are some of the wonderful ways you can enrich your own life and the lives of others.

MISSION PARTNERS

A strong component of our mission outreach is partnering with non-profits and churches to serve our brothers and sisters in need. We officially support many local and national partners financially, as well as through service. Check out some of our Mission Partners to see how you can get involved.

FaithNet

FaithNet is a partnership of 10 area churches willing to work together to do more for the homeless in our area than we can separately. Currently, Annunciation participates in one monthly project, Laundry Love, where we help do the laundry for anyone who needs it, on the first Tuesday of each month.

Lewisville Animal Services

We collect used towels and bedding, as well as food for the animals in the care of Lewisville Animal Services.  We also participate in their yearly community event called, “Paws in the Park,” by offering pet blessings to all who are gathered.

 Soles4Souls

Soles4Souls is a global organization whose primary mission is to provide shoes for those who have none. Once a year, we participate in Soles4Souls Sunday, donating hundreds of pairs of shoes to help them further their work in developing countries around the world.

The Salvation Army

Annunciation partners with the Salvation Army on a regular basis to meet the needs of the people of Lewisville and surrounding areas. We contribute sack lunches, collect food for the Food Pantry, participate in bell-ringing at Christmas, and support their community garden.

Communities in Schools (LISD)

Each year the congregation is asked to donate gifts from our Angel Tree which are distributed to local children in need.  Just before school begins, we also collect school supplies and uniforms.

Little Free Library (LFL)

The Little Free Library (LFL) is a small repository of books available to anyone in our community. It works on the take-a-book-leave-a-book honor system. Ours is one of thousands all over the US.  Ours is located inside our main building, and is open on Sunday mornings.  To access the library during the week, please contact the church office.

First Responders

Each Thanksgiving, Annunciation collects snacks, fruit, and personal items that we then place in baskets to give to each fire station and police station in Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village as a way of saying thanks for their service to our community.

Tom Thumb Good Neighbor Program

Every time you shop at Tom Thumb, 1% of your grocery purchase will go to the Good Neighbor Program. Be sure to fill out this entry card to link your Rewards Card to the program. Our Good Neighbor number is 6836.
