Sunday Liturgies
7:15 Liturgy
This is a more traditional
“Rite I” service out of the Book of Common
Prayer. While there is a sermon
there is no music.
8:30 Liturgy
This Rite II liturgy uses a blended contemporary style of
music and worship, designed to be
friendlier to families with small
children. The 8:30 Adult Choir leads the
worship with guitars, drums, piano and of
course the Annunciation Memorial Pipe
Organ.
11:00 Liturgy
This “Rite II” liturgy
is “high church” at its best with a formal
procession lead by a Thurifer (a person
who handles the Thurible which is used to
burn the incense in), the 11:00 Choir,
various other lay ministers and the
clergy. This liturgy is known in our
tradition as a sung service, which means
major portions of the service are sung by
the clergy, choir and people. A
Children’s Chapel for 3 – 6 year olds
parallels the first part of this service.
