Annunciation
offers Adult Christian Education Classes
beginning Sunday, September 9, 2007 through
May 2008. Class begins at
9:45am.

The
ALPHA Course:
is a practical
introduction to the Christian Faith.
The Alpha Course was started at Holy
Trinity Brompton in London for
non-churchgoers, those seeking to find out
more about Christianity, and those who
have recently come to faith in Jesus
Christ. Alpha begins with a celebration
dinner to introduce Alpha to you, is then
followed by a 12 week course consisting of
shared meals, fellowship, music, video
instruction and breaking up into small
groups. Topics include "Who is Jesus?";
"Why Did Jesus Die?"; "How Can I Be Sure
of My Faith?". The Alpha Course is offered
at The Episcopal Church of The
Annunciation annually, beginning in
September of 2008..

Adult Inquirers Class:
The next
Adult Inquirers will begin in the Fall
of 2008. Check back to this site for an
upcoming schedule! Class begins
at 7:00pm. This class
is designed to introduce newcomers to the
Episcopal Church, serve as a refresher
course for present members, prepare adults
for the Sacrament of Confirmation and
build a stronger Community of Faith at
Annunciation. If you have questions about
how the Episcopal Church uses the Bible;
who we understand Jesus Christ to be; how
the Holy Spirit works in the world today;
or what are the reasons for the rituals
and symbols that are such a part of our
week to week worship, this class is for

The parish

So You Want to Get Married?
The Episcopal
Church requires all couples seeking to be
married in the church to participate in
premarital counseling. Premarital
counseling requires 7-10 sessions
depending upon each couples situation.
Additional Requirements:
* One member of the parties must be a
baptized Christian active in the Episcopal
Church.
* Weddings are not conducted during Advent
or Lent.
* The couple must be active in the life of
Annunciation for six months prior to the
wedding date.
* No date for a wedding should be set
before talking to the Rector.
